Learn if you are a mandated reporter of suspected child abuse and make sure you know the process of reporting and develop policies and procedures for reporting suspected instances of abuse.

The purpose of this course is to equip nurses and other participants to know what a mandated reporter is, who is mandated in their state to report and their legal responsibility, federal and state laws and guidelines pertaining to reporting, the process of reporting, identify websites and resources to research their state requirements, and develop proper policies and procedures in their organization for reporting.

Upon successful completion of the course, the learner will be able to:

  1. Identify who is a mandated reporter in their state.
  2. Describe pertinent federal and state laws for mandated reporting.
  3. Understand the reporting process.
  4. Identify resources for researching pertinent laws in their state.
  5. Describe various types of abuse and neglect.
  6. Describe guidelines for a pregnancy center’s mandatory reporting process

Refund Policy

1. Refunds for non-attendance will only be awarded if non-attendance is the direct result of an unplanned or unannounced outage. When a registrant is unable to access a webinar/course due to an unplanned or unannounced server outage of Heartbeat International Academy, the website, or website, Heartbeat International will contact the registrant to notify them of the refund due them and issue the refund. Refund will be made to the registrant within 1 week of the cancelled event subject to processing fees.

2. When a course/webinar is cancelled for which individuals have registered, Heartbeat International will send a notification to each registrant per email or phone. Full refund will be sent to registrant within one week of cancellation.
